Reset & Realign

A Space to Release & Reconnect

The body knows first — long before the mind has words for it, the nervous system speaks. In sensation. In breath. In the ache of a long hold that somehow feels like home. This is the art of Yin - the art of listening deeply enough to hear yourself again.

Through a somatic approach to Yin, you will experience a profound physical and energetic reset — releasing deep-seated tension, processing stored emotion, and shifting from a relentless state of doing into a receptive state of being.

And you'll leave with more than a personal transformation. You'll have the sequencing, language, and somatic framework to guide others through the same reset — so what you receive here becomes something you can teach, share, and build from.

"The nervous system speaks first.

Yin teaches you how to listen."

- The MBodied Philosophy

What You'll Walk Away With...

For Your Own Body

A deeply embodied yin practice that supports nervous system regulation, sensation literacy, and a more trusting relationship with yourself — whether or not you ever teach.

For the Bodies in the Room

Confidence working with diverse bodies — skeletal variation, range of motion, fascia, meridian pathways, and intelligent adaptation that keeps every student safe.

For Your Teaching

A repeatable methodology grounded in safety, consent, perceptive cueing, and meaningful class design — rooted in patience, perception, and embodied trust.

This training is open to all levels. You do not need to be a certified yoga teacher to attend.

What makes the MBodied Yin training different...

"This training doesn't teach you about the body.

It brings you home to yours."

In the long holds that surface what you didn't know you were carrying. In the study labs where theory becomes experience. In the conversations that make the science personal. In the practice where sensation becomes the teaching. In the moments you release something involuntarily and finally understand what your students will one day feel in your room.

You don't leave with just knowledge. You leave knowing something in your body that you can't unlearn. And if you're here to teach — you leave with the sequencing, the language, the somatic framework, and the confidence that only comes from having lived it yourself. Not just a teacher. A guide who has gone there first.

What Past Students Are Saying...

"I feel like I've been awoken from sleep. Yin is now a sanctuary for me — and I am so glad I have discovered the wonders beyond the physical practice."

Brittany Beekman

"The depth of my understanding of Yin yoga has expanded greatly and I am much more at ease passing this knowledge onto my students. My teaching style has taken a giant leap forward."

Chuck Hood

"I've been practicing and teaching yoga for over 20 years. Michelle's training is just what I didn't know I needed — not only as a teacher but more importantly as a student."

Five Core Modules

You already know something is different about yin. The way a long-held pose asks more of you than any vinyasa flow ever has. The way stillness surfaces what movement keeps buried. The way you walk out of a class feeling like you’ve been somewhere — somewhere real.

Over two immersive weekends, you won’t just study Yin intellectually — you’ll experience it in your own body. You’ll learn how to work with the nervous system, fascia, and meridian pathways while deepening your capacity to hold space, guide others with confidence, and create classes that people don’t just attend — they feel.

This training gives you both the embodied experience of regulating your own nervous system and the tools to lead Yin classes that create real shifts in the bodies, minds, and nervous systems of the people you teach.

01

MODULE ONE

Philosophy & Energetics

Dive deep into the Taoist roots of the practice. We explore the fundamental principles of Yin and Yang, the subtle body, and how ancient somatic wisdom applies to modern grounding and recalibration.

02

MODULE TWO

Meridian Theory

Map the physical and energetic pathways of the body. Learn how specific Yin postures stimulate the meridian network to clear stagnation, shift emotional blockages, and support vital organ health.

03

MODULE THREE

Functional Anatomy

Move beyond aesthetic alignment into real structural awareness — skeletal variation, tension versus compression, archetypal shapes, therapeutic variations, intelligent prop use, and real-time adaptation based on sensation rather than form. Every body is different. This is where you learn to meet all of them

04

MODULE FOUR

Fascia + The Nervous System

Fascia holds what the body hasn't let go of yet. The nervous system decides when it's safe to release. This module is where you learn to work with both — and why yin is one of the most powerful tools we have for doing it.

05

MODULE FIVE

Teaching & Application

Translate somatic theory into real-world practice. Master the subtle art of sequencing, finding your authentic voice, and safely guiding students through their own deep physical and emotional releases.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Meet Your Guide

Michelle doesn’t teach you how to rest. She creates the conditions where your nervous system comes out of survival — and aliveness becomes safe again.

With 15+ years of experience and thousands of hours holding space, she founded MBodied on a simple conviction: aliveness is power — especially for the women most convinced they don’t have time for it.

Her work is rooted in somatic intelligence — drawing from Yin, Thai massage, Chi Nei Tsang, breathwork, sound, and Reiki — not as techniques, but as pathways back into the body’s knowing.

This Intensive is the distillation of years of lived practice, somatic exploration, and direct experience guiding others back to themselves. It bridges functional anatomy, fascia science, and meridian theory through a teaching approach that is grounded, embodied, and deeply human.

Rooted in her Costa Rican lineage, MBodied is a tribute to the ancestors who held what was never meant to be carried alone — and a reclamation for the women now ready to finally set it down.
